This piece appears to be quite easy, of course if the singer's range allows it. However, to really pull this off the singer must have excellent breath control, good air support to carry the notes "effortlessly". Then attention must be given to the meaning of the lyrics, and to truly put feeling into the song and not rush it. It's a painful lament from someone who lost what was precious to them. Without putting significant thought into how it's performed, the piece could be a snore to listen to. Good idea to check out how the famous singers handle this piece.
