I am a viola player and when I had heard this music perform way back when, it was a motivator for me to strive to be able to perform it. Now, years later I am more then ready to tackle and perform this great work. It highlights what both violin and viola can do. This is a must have for anyone that is looking to play a piece that uses technique and various emotions. The music is easy to read and clear. Generally a must have.

The music is clear and easy to read. The fingerings are not too numerous and some are even useful. Although with a typical ignorance of 2nd position in the viola part.
On the whole - excellent. Much cheaper than buying physical sheet music and the parts are very playable.
Oh - and of course, the work is excellent. A real audience pleaser - virtuosic but sits under the fingers well.
I'm a professional player and will be presenting a violin/viola duo recital for the friends association of my orchestra. This work makes an excellent rounder to a programme of more serious works (Mozart, Martinu and Bach) and will finish the recital with a bang.
Martinu's 3 Madrigals for violin and viola is another superb work for this chamber ensemble.
