Pretty song, but weak piano   (MEMBER) on May 1st, 2007
I believe that the headline says it all. Its a lovely song, but the piano part was rather bland. Perhaps its because the woman I play with is an excellent piano player, but she didn't like the part at all. Its a shame, as we never play it because of this. There are simple tunes that sound complicated, and simple tunes that sound simple, and unfortunately, it falls into the latter. It has potential, it just needs some spice! On a positive note, the trumpet part is fun to play. It would be a bit of a challenge for a newish player, but its such a nice melody that more experienced players should enjoy it as well.
