| I love this piece especially the Scherzo. The interesting thing is that it isn't a Piano quintet! In a piano quintet there would be a piano, a cello, a viola and 2 violins. In the "trout" there is a double bass replacing a violin. This is still a wonderful piece and the double bass magnifies this rather than impeding the piece. | | | Trout by anonymous on October 13th, 2007 |
| The parts are excellent and easy to read. This is a great way to get music for one gig. It would be nice to be able to get a part for yourself to practice without buying all the parts though. | | | F Schubert t(r)out suite! by Pip Baily on August 2nd, 2007 |
| Zoom! Whizz! Whoosh! Like Superman on something illegal, this classic quintet with it's bubbling accompaniment and captivating tunes was bought, printed and handed out to my friends in the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra. Lovely clear parts and cheap as chips.
I am an Englishman playing first bass in the above orchestra for a year, and this is the most cost effective way I have found of getting parts out here.
A few Double Bass pieces by Botessini would be a welcome addition to the catalogue.
