| I first heard "Meditation" a few months ago in my doctor's waiting room and was quite moved by the melody. I've since listened to renditions for different instruments (including, of course, voice). My favorites are by violinists Sarah Chang and Nathan Milstein. I have 10-plus years of classical piano training and am partial to the romantic lyricism exemplified in this piece. I wanted a piano transcription to learn for my personal enjoyment, one compatible with my (rather dusty) skills--engaging, not too daunting. This edition provided exactly what I needed--fingering along with dynamics, slurring, articulation, etc. I hope eventually to study the entire opera as well as other Massenet compositions.
