BioClaude Debussy was an influential French composer of the late Romantic era and early Twentieth-century. He helped transition western art music from the Romantic period to the Modern period through his use of ethereal harmony and unique musical structures. Fascinated by visual art, Debussy created sensuous music that approximated the images and emotions created by the Impressionist and Symbolist painters of his time.
