Thank you. My daughter is learning the violin and she's been in floods of tears trying to do a slide for the first time in Si Ji Ge. (Grade 2 piece) I will show her your video - I think it will help!!

Hello Lora. It is very useful for me as a beginner. My question is, is playing slides only for pop song (country music etc) ? I like you to teach how to play vibrato. Thank you.

Great question, Fadjar!
In general, slides are only for fiddle, country, pop, blues, jazz music. But there are ways of putting slides into classical music, such as an "expressive shift" can create a little slide. The main idea is that in classical music, make it more discreet, more subtle.

Vibrato is coming! I am trying to get the class all ready for you!

Thanks Lora, it's great. I am enjoying to practice it as I am auto-didactic.
