Video TranscriptionI was teaching in Switzerland when I got a call from Dominique Probst asking if I still wanted to teach at the conservatory in Levallois Perret. I said yes, called, and an interview was set up with the Director, Mr Rothenbuhler. It started with him asking me when I taught vibrato. I talked for about 5 minutes and then asked him the same question. He talked for 20 minutes and the interview ended. He said he would get back within 48 hours but it was now Friday so I called saying that I’d been away, thought that he might have tried to leave a message but as my answering machine was full it might not have been possible. After a minute of silence he asked if my papers were in order, I lied and said yes… he hired me! Thanks Professor Fitzpatrick for sharing how you got your teaching job. My understanding is that In Providence of God all things work out.
