BioFelix Mendelssohn was a German composer of the early Romantic era. Like Mozart, he was considered a child prodigy and spent most of his life as a pianist, composer, conductor and music educator. Mendelssohn's mature works include five symphonies, several concerti, two biblical oratorios, as well as a large selection of solo piano music and chamber music.
