Reviews about Canon in D and Gigue:

Rating: 3 pachelbel canon and fugue by on September 29, 2010 @2:17 am PST
Generally OK, but the part for trombone 1 is written in parts below bottom F. It is not possible to get this low unless you have a trombone with a bass extension (which I don't!)
Rating: 4 Nice transcription by on July 9, 2008 @4:32 am PST
Nicely done, very difficult 1st trumpet part, also 2nd trumpet difficult. Horn, trombone and tuba are medium/high. [this review is about Canon in D & Gigue (parts) included in this item]
Rating: 5 Tough on the trumpets, but a nice piece overall... by on April 16, 2008 @8:04 am PST
Two pieces are included in this music: the Gigue, and the Canon. The Gigue is fairly easy; more of a chords and harmonious-type piece. It is written in 12/8 time, which is very interesting. However, the Canon is pretty hard. The lead trumpet will get quite a workout! The F Horn and Tuba have an almost identical part, with the two trumpets playing little duets here and there..... once you have it mastered, it's a very nice piece. It will take a little practicing though.
