Hey Maestro Fabrizio,

I love the tempo of your wonderful arrangement. I’m an intermediate player working hard to move up a notch. I have only been playing for 4 years. I’m 67 years old and practice 4 to 8 hours 6 days per week. I played organ as a young man. Just wanted you to know my background.

My question is: I would like to be able to slow down the sound track for the tougher sections. Is that possible?

Sincerely,

Hank Eckenrode

Dear Hank,
Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so happy to know you liked my arrangement and to learn you are practicing piano that much aiming to achieve great results. That's fantastic and congratulations on your age and musical achievements!

As for your question, at the moment there is no way to change the speed of the included Mp3 files (unless you download them and open them with an application that allows you to do that). But we plan to release a new player that will allow you to slow down and speed up all the audio files showcased on VSM. Hopefully within a few months.

In the meantime, as I wrote above, you can use a program like VLC which allows you to change the playback speed of any media file, audio and video:

Please, let me know if you have any further questions.

Rest assured: I'll keep you posted on everything

All the best,

Beautifully arranged! It could not be better!
Rating: 5 learning to play more difficult pieces by  * VSM MEMBER * on February 2013
I have been playing a much simpler piece of this music and this is a nice jump for me. It sounds much nicer and I can play the whole piece slowly just need to keep practicing till I can play it full speed. I am self taught and am not good at reading the time signatures so I love that I can listen to the timing on the site.

Several good variations of the same theme.

i've been looking for a really good transcription for canon over the years, and this one really fits the bill. it may prove difficult if approached with a fast tempo, but otherwise it is manageable and very beautiful.
Rating: 5 Fabulous, excellent! by on June 2010
This is the by far the best arrangement I've ever laid my hands on. Though it's a bit challenging because the score is very dense, it is very close to the original for strings. Thanks very much virtual music!

I teach piano and one of my pupils had bought an arrangement of this piece of music that I wasn't keen on. The difficulty in finding a good arrangement stems from the fact that the original was for stringed instruments. I was lucky that I came across this website where the first page of the music could be downloaded for free. As soon as I'd played it, I knew it was just what I was looking for. Thanks to Virtual Sheet Music for making it so easy to buy and download, I'm absolutely delighted with this arrangement!
I'd say the standard is Grade 5
Rating: 3 Not ideal for piano... by on August 2009
I found the score quite useful, after I had simplified and shortened it. So many parallell octaves and thirds are not very comfortable to play! I´m sure the transcription for piano could have been made easier, but still of a good quality.
Rating: 4 good by on July 2009
i love this version, it sounds better than other version
Rating: 4 More difficult than anticipated! by on June 2009
Looking at the front page (which is all they give you), I thought "no problem, I can play this!" Yeahhh...until you look at the next few pages. It's definitely high-difficulty.
