Rating: 5 No complaints here! by Eva Durance * VSM MEMBER * on January 2020
This download of the string quartet version of the Pachlbel Canon and Gigue was to recover the cello part that had been lost. Our group has been playing the pieces for about a year and really like the arrangement. We also did not know of the Gigue so that has been a bonus, and in it the cello gets more to do! Overall we have enjoyed playing all the pieces we have downloaded from this site and very much appreciate the speed of downloading and excellent arrangements.
Rating: 4 Great piece by Eta Reitz * VSM MEMBER * on December 2017
It‘s very good that this Canon in D are written for different Ensembles.
Rating: 4 Beautiful Arrangement by Eliana Melmed on January 2016
This piece is so beautiful and I love this unique arrangement. I've been playing violin for many years but I'm not so comfortable playing higher than third position, and the violin part does have some very high notes. However, once I took them down an octave I was able to play easily. In addition, we ended up ignoring the piano part and just having our pianist improvise because it was easier for him than reading/learning the sheet music. All in all, I would recommend this arrangement if you're looking to play with a violin, cello and piano. It's beautiful and the parts sound fantastic together.
