Reviews about Canonic Sonatas:

Rating: 5 Fun to play with so many bonuses! by  * VSM MEMBER * on March 2019
I've played the violin version of these pieces since I was a kid. Now as a violin and viola teacher I was happy to see the viola version and share them with my students. They make great solo pieces with the incredible plus of being duets as well. Excellent for steady rhythm practice, ensemble and brain teasers. How did Telemann DO that?! Great fun! Rating: 5 Telemann Duets -- Worth the time! by  * VSM MEMBER * on August 2018
For early intermediate players, these Telemann Canons are beautifully patterned and musically satisfying. There's a lot to learn here and Canon #1 sounds professional after just a week of practice! [this review is about Canonic Sonatas, book I included in this item]
Rating: 5 Love it! by on December 2010
I would rate these as easy. But - they are absolutely beautiful!! (I rate them as easy, but I have played for awhile.) I love the classical baroque period and these pieces fit that to a "T". It would really help someone who has problems with tempo and even timing as this is a must for Canonic duos. I also really enjoy the Bach cello suites transcribed for viola - but the difficulty level is much harder. The depth of the viola really adds to these pieces. I would highly recommend them. Good-reading print. Have to cut, rearrange and copy sheets for pageturning performance use. A bit impractical, but a good way to easily obtain these fine pieces. [this review is about Canonic Sonatas, book I included in this item]
